IT Administator/IT Application Support

POSITION SUMMARY:

Active participation in setup of the computer systems, responsibility for their configuration, reporting of the systems status, incidents and problems on regular basis. Participation as team member in analysis when new functions of the systems are required. Regular monitoring of the systems, active solving of logged incidents and requests in cooperation with internal customers, analysts and suppliers. Proactivity in searching for the possibilities how to make system configuration more efficient. Adherence to defined validation and testing procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

Administration, monitoring of the implemented computer systems. Development of configurable applications to cover business requirements. Troubleshooting of reported problems. Creation, review and approval of technical and validation documentation related to the administered computer systems.

Level 1 end-user support for internal employees. Basic troubleshooting and configuration of user workstations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participation in implementation of computer systems per business needs
  • Support in development of computer systems
  • Configuration of the systems, including cloud-based system Veeva Quality Suite, in accordance with the business specifications and defined standards
  • Participation in computer system related validation activities including testing and creation and review of relevant validation documents
  • Active search for the possibilities of systems administration optimization
  • Systems maintenance in accordance with defined procedures
  • Contribution to definition of problem and incident management
  • Resolutions of logged incidents and requests in cooperation with supplier
  • Close cooperation with users of the system in problems analysis
  • Troubleshooting of reported problems
  • Development of IT procedures for technical maintenance of the systems
  • Proposals of performance and security parameters of the system and monitoring of potential issues in this area
  • Maintenance of knowledge base

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Secondary education and at least entry level experience with system administration.
  • Basic knowledge of, IIS, MS SQL 2008 and higher, GIT versioning
  • General knowledge of web applications and understanding of the underlying technologies and principles
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes is an advantage, but not must.
  • Basic knowledge system security requirements
  • Common sense
  • Good communication skills, willingness to learn
  • Proactive approach, proposals of alternative solutions
  • Fluent English (written and spoken - B1-B2 levels)
  • Fluent in Czech
