Jakub Čierný is a pharmacist by training who graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University Prague in 2006. Since then, he has been working in the pharmaceutical industry mainly in the Quality field. He joined PPF Biotech network in 2012 as QA Manager and Qualified Person. Prior to that, he worked as Head of Quality at the Danish company Orifarm. In PPF-owned CRO Accord Research, he led several consulting projects focused on 3rd party global auditing (GMP, GLP, blood facilities), led Quality System implementation and contract Qualified Person activity.

At SCTbio, Jakub is responsible for the Quality Compliance where he and his team assure process and product quality in line with the relevant regulatory guidelines. He leads the team of Qualified Persons approving all SCTbio medicinal products prior to shipment to the clinical trial recruiting sites. Jakub is a member of EU Qualified Person Association, certified GMP & GLP auditor and certified Computer Validation Manager.
